What To Expect In Digital Marketing For The Rest Of 2017

Digital marketing gets more and more popular with every year, but it is also constantly changing and evolving. This is for a multitude of reasons, including improved methods, changes to the way search engines work and a desire to improve the user experience.
The first few months of 2017 have seen a few changes within the world of digital marketing, but there are even more changes to come in the rest of 2015. If you want to make sure that you are up to date with the latest news in the marketing world, here is what you can expect to happen in digital marketing during the rest of 2017.

An Increase in Augmented Reality

The last year has seen the release of Pokémon Go, an augmented reality game that was extremely popular. At points the game was making 10 million dollars a day in new revenue, and although the game has become less popular in recent months, it has still massively affected the online marketing community. Users are clearly ready for more augmented reality experience, so it is likely that more brands will be releasing augmented reality games and adverts.

Native advertising has existed for years as an effective form of advertising, but it became less popular a few years ago when new forms of online advertising become more popular. However, after a few years of average feedback from the new forms of advertising, native advertising is back on the upward swing.

Data Visualisation Tools Will be Used by the Majority of Marketers

As online marketing is a relatively new phenomenon, the majority of marketers rely heavily on data to learn what is effective and what isn’t. Because of this more and more companies are creating useful data visualisation tools that brands can use to analyse their marketing efforts. This is very useful for people with little marketing experience, as it makes it much easier for them to effectively hone their marketing skills.

The data visualisation tools will also become more effective and user friendly, so they will be able to be used by a wide range of people including those who have had little to no experience with data visualisation tools.

Users are becoming more and more interested in live content due to faster internet and better smartphones, and marketers and website owners will meet the user’s demands by hosting and streaming more live events.
If you can’t create live content for your website on a regular basis you can still benefit from posting more video content. Video content is definitely a rising trend – if you check out most social media sites you will see lots of video content, and while live content is definitely preferred, both forms of content are very popular.
